• Beyond the Couch: A Therapist Spotlight: Kellie Hynds, LMFT

Today, I’d like to introduce you to Kellie Hynds, one of our talented licensed marriage and family therapists. Kellie enjoys working with adolescents, children, families, and the elderly. With specialized training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Kellie enjoys treating trauma in young people and their families so that they may live life with emotional freedom.

When did you decide you wanted to become a therapist?

“I think I was a teen myself when I watched a documentary on mental health for the first time. It was then that I said, whoa, that is what I want to do with my life. I have been fascinated by people and their emotions ever since!”, Kellie shared with enthusiasm.

What do you want potential clients to know about you?

Kellie has a vast array of interests within psychotherapy, however, her fondness for working with children and adolescents is what has given Kellie longevity throughout her career. “I really like aiding teens with life transitions. Becoming an adult and discovering who you are as an individual is such an important developmental milestone. I feel like every teen deserves the ability to find out who they are in a judgement free zone” Kellie states.

Why do you enjoy working at Talk Therapy Center?

“Talk Therapy Center is a family. Our staff is cohesive, and we care a lot for each other. Jason’s vision about quality therapy being accessible to the community lines up with my own person beliefs on therapy. I love that our clients have a wide array of talented therapists who have so much variety in their education, training, and interests, to choose from at our practice”.
