Rates and Insurance
Cash Pay (Non-Insurance): Our licensed staff offer $175 per 45-50 minute session and $200 per 60 minute intake session.
Pre-licensed staff offer $100 per 45-50 minute session. Pre-licensed staff are therapists who have yet to pass state boards following graduation which requires over 3000 hours of supervised therapy by a licensed therapist.
All staff regularly consult with one another on their caseloads to ensure they are providing the most informed strategies. Pre-licensed and pre-graduate staff are required to attend weekly supervision with a licensed staff in which they discuss their clients and their treatment approaches.
Do You Take My Insurance: We are regularly working to secure contracts with various insurance companies. Some insurance companies require each individual therapist to complete contracts which results in not all therapists being on all insurance companies that Talk Therapy Center works with. We are able to verify whether we take your specific insurance plan if you call us at 951-387-4040. Please see each therapists “About Me” page to determine what insurances they accept. It is important to note that insurance companies may impact treatment through recommendations (i.e., terminate treatment or send a client to group therapy) and they may review therapy documentation including the personal information from session notes and diagnosis/diagnoses. Some people prefer to pay cash pay to increase their privacy.
Do I Need a Referral: Insurance companies regularly cover therapy services with some requiring pre-authorization or referral. Please call your member services number on the back of your insurance ID card to determine if you need pre-authorization or referral.
What If You Are Out of Network from My Insurance: We offer services with select insurance companies and other insurance companies we offer either Super Bill or courtesy billing as out of network providers. Out of network providers would have client’s pay for services at the time of their session. Super Bill services are “receipts” that are provided following treatment that the client submits to insurance for a reimbursement percentage. Courtesy billing services are where we submit forms to client’s insurance companies for reimbursement. Both of these services require the client to ensure rates of reimbursement and ability to use these methods.
Questions for Insurance: We’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
- Does my health insurance plan cover therapists at Talk Therapy Center of Riverside or permit reimbursement for out of network providers?
Out of Pocket fees, Co-Payments, Co-Insurance Cost, or Deductibles will be processed or collected at the time of your session. We accept cash, check and all major credit cards as forms of payment. Credit cards will be processed with a 3.5% convenience fee.
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you will be charged $109 for the session. We do ask all clients to be aware that our staff have limited time slots to conduct their sessions and cancellation/waiting lists of clients wanting to book any available openings. Not only does a late-cancellation or no-show result in the therapist being unable to provide therapy and make a wage for the hour they have available to work, it also results in other clients being unable to get in for therapy. Please be considerate of our therapists and fellow clients by offering at least a 24 hour cancellation which would permit re-scheduling of that session time.
