About Wendy: At the heart of my therapeutic philosophy lies a deep conviction: true healing unfolds as we gently reconnect with our “true self.” This authentic core of our being remains untouched by the storms of our experiences—a wellspring of resilience, wisdom, and potential within us all. I believe that, no matter what we have endured, this inner essence persists, quietly waiting to be rediscovered. Over the years, I have dedicated my practice to supporting adults and children whose lives have been shaped by trauma. Adverse experiences, whether acute or prolonged, can cast long shadows over our worldview and daily functioning. They can influence how we see ourselves, relate to others, and find meaning in the world.

Recognizing and understanding these patterns is the first step toward change. I have found that blending cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness offers a powerful path toward healing. CBT empowers us to reframe harmful narratives and develop healthier coping skills. Mindfulness fosters acceptance, self-compassion, and presence—all crucial for soothing trauma responses and alleviating other mental health challenges. By integrating these approaches, we move closer to our true selves. We learn not only to manage symptoms, but to understand their origins and offer ourselves the care we need. This process opens the door to a more fulfilling, authentic life.
