About Marlena: Starting therapy can seem intimidating, but exploring options is already a big step. I’m gentle in nature, easy to talk to, and motivated to help you discover your best self. I have an area of interest in working with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, self-esteem and body image concerns, life transitions, grief, and trauma. 

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to challenge negative and stuck beliefs. I also use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills to find balanced thinking and increase distress tolerance. In every session, I use Person Centered Therapy, focusing on your unique needs. I tailor my approach to what works best for you. I have a gentle and direct approach. I’m non-judgmental and provide active listening and compassion. In my free time, I enjoy taking hikes in nature, I am an avid reader, and enjoy art and listening to music.
